AOC Partners with HeroBox to Support Service Members at AOC 2025

The Association of Old Crows (AOC) and the AOC Foundation have announced their partnership with HeroBox to host a military support initiative during the 2025 AOC International Symposium & Convention, December 9-11 in National Harbor, MD. Attendees at AOC 2025 will be invited to help create hundreds of care packages that will be shipped to active duty military stationed around the world.
HeroBox, founded in 2008 by Ryan Housley, began as a weekend project to support his brother deployed in Iraq and has since evolved into a platform connecting American civilians with service members. The organization provides deployed personnel with physical items and moral support through personalized care packages.
“This partnership aligns with our association’s core values and our unwavering commitment to supporting the men and women who serve our nation and its allies,” said AOC Executive Director Shelley Frost. “AOC has always recognized that our mission in electromagnetic warfare and spectrum operations is directly connected to the warfighters who implement these capabilities in the field, and this partnership allows us to give back to those heroes in a tangible, meaningful way.”
The AOC Foundation’s involvement reflects the association’s broader commitment to military support initiatives. The AOC Foundation champions education programs that benefit active duty military, veterans, and undergraduate students through scholarships, grants, and leadership development.
More information on how symposium attendees at AOC 2025 can participate in the HeroBox initiative will be announced in early December. For more information about AOC 2025 and the HeroBox partnership, visit aoc2025.org.
